Hospital and facilities
Avicenna Hospital has Surgical Unit I and Surgical Unit II while Surgical Unit III is located in Aadil Hospital. Each teaching hospital caters for both male and female patients separetley in their respective units
The department is manned by experienced staff members. Daily surgical procedures include minor operations in minor and aseptic theaters. Endoscopy procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopies are conducted routinely. Elective operations include minor and major procedures that are performed in four operation theaters equipped with the latest facilities. Routine laparoscopic surgery is also conducted in these theaters.
Emergency Services
Emergency services are provided round the clock. There is a separate emergency operation theater with emergency personnel. The hospital has an excellent trauma care setup that includes investigation facilities, resuscitation procedures, and an emergency operation theater all under one roof so that no time is wasted.
