Departments

Like in all other Colleges, Avicenna Medical College has a number of Departments in the Basic Sciences and the Clinical Education. The following departments exist in nthe Basic Sciences:

*   Dept of Forensic Sciences and Toxicology

*   Dept of Community Medicine

*   Dept of Pharmacology

*   Dept of Pathology ( 4 departments)

The Clinical Studies have the following:

*   Dept of Surgery

*   Dept of Obs and Gynae

*   Dept of Medicine

*   Dept of Paediatrics

*   Dept of Opthalmology

*   Dept of Ear-Nose-Throat

All the departments are organised as per the standards laid out by the PM&DC and the UHS. All depts are well equipped as per the specifications given by PM&DC.

All the departments work under the cover and supervision of the Dept of Medical Education. This dept is headed by a PM&DC recognised specialist who has 26 years experience in the field of Medical Education.
